No, silly, not that they lost the game.......at the end of the day, Florida's Defensive Backs were just faster and better than 'Bama's.
For you Big 12 fans, unfamiliar with the term, those are the guys who stand behind the big uglies and actually stop passes from being completed. They mostly come from Florida, Texas and California and don't much care for Big 12 winters.
No, the real screw came on Sunday night. Boys, you get to play Utah. If you lose, your season was a fluke. If you win, so what? You don't move up.
What would Texas vs. Bama been worth in an elimination game, or even a "Plus One" play-up?

The Corn Chip Bowl picked UT right away ......then the Sugar picked the Utes ( City can only take one fan base drunk in the Quarter -- the base behind bring on the Mormans )
The Sugar was going to get Bama , and the Corn Chippers wanted UT-tOSU .
The BCS did sort of work itself out again . The two hottest teams will square off . The others will be a mix of good games and ......not so good games .
I am excited for the Cotton with TT vs Nutty Ole Miss .
I am proud of those kids at BAMA , they smacked every play and just made a few mistakes in a game where both teams were not going to make big mistakes .
Coffee 114 yrd and a TD with a pulled Hammy ........ Sara Jessica Parker Wilson did as good as his talent could do .
Tim Tebow ..........is DA MAN . I hope he gets number two because frankly other kids are good , but Tebow is just that much better .
For Big 12 QB's to be considered for the Heismann, there would have actually have to have been some defensive players on the field trying to stop the passing game.
Also, it would be quaint if those Big 12 teams would, like, occasionally rush the passer--just a thought.
Thought it was interesting this year. If you had an 8 team playoff, Boise State would still have gotten screwed. Just like Hank Paulson picking winners and losers with Tarp money, voters and computers just decided the Mountain West was better because it was 6-1 against the Pac 10. Well, Boise State was 1-0 against the Pac 10 and beat a really good Nevada team.
In short 8 team playoff doesn't fix the problem.
