"DYNAMIC AND EXCITING" ORGANIZATION SHOOTS CYBER-CRAPS

Whenever I have no particular topic in mind, I check in on the Adams County Young Republicans' web page.

This self-described "dynamic and exciting" organization has no upcoming events scheduled. In fact, they have not even accounted for the existence of September!

Cue, "American Pie".

Good Night and Good Luck.

Now do the Adams County Young Democrat's site. OK, I will. It's REALLY bad. BTW, the YR describes itself as "growing and exciting" not "dynamic and exciting", at least one of those is true.

Ah, Gee whiz Tony. What are the young dems doing anyway? Last event on calendar **June 2nd steakfry**. I mean if less is more, the young dems really have the young repubs outflanked.

Not a good choice for a topic, unless you're trying to get them stirred up and off the couch.

My brother invited me to a party and waited until I was on-the-way to mention it was a gathering of college Republicans from two Chicago schools (one public, one Catholic).

What can I say?

They obsessed over hippies. Who are these hippies they are worried about? It's like they are so disconnected from reality that they can be fed something that is completely false and they'd still believe it.

Oh, and one of them worked for a collection agency. The girl said, "That's the perfect job for a Republican." Apparently she liked the idea of hassling poor people.

Off the subject. But I can't believe when Vern said that they were looking for someone with name recognition, he didn't come straight to you Uncle Tony! You would have been great over there in Springfield.

Wow...how petty!!!

Their event was just last Wednesday, and it is a holiday weekend.

Have you ever thought maybe they're enjoying time with their family??

We expect more from one of the leaders of the Adams County Democrats than pointless and petty bickering over a simple calender.

Looks like someone has way too much time on their hands, and it sure isn't the leaders of the Adams County Young Republicans.

0951,

You got me on the quote. I was relying on my memory. Stilll, the thang that I have difficulty understanding is how you can tell an organization is growing when you don't schedule any events at which to take attendance.

BTW, I didn't choose the category "upcoming events".

Perhaps so.

"Can't Give" 1959

It gets worse. Pretty soon it'll be "Hippies....fight them there now or fight them here soon."

You must have felt like Margaret Meade on an anthropological expedition!

Don't you mean out of the Church pew???

Or maybe they are on the couch shaving each others heads!

Follow the bouncing ball: I write about topics that interest me at the moment. The purposes in not to move pieces around the chess board.

It seemed amusing at the time--trivial perhaps but amusing.
