HEZBOLLAH LEADER: "SORRY GUYS, MY BAD! KING'S X"

Sheesh, the military leader of Hezbollah now says if he'd have known snatching the two Israeli soldiers would have started a war, he wouldn't have ordered it!

That raises some questions from me for him:

1. What did you think it would start, peace talks?

2. What is there in the Israeli personality that led you to believe it could possibly START ANYTHING BUT A WAR?

3. Great, you've admitted your mistake. Now that thousands of families are homeless and you've managed to bring about the destruction of one of the most beautiful cities on the planet, what are you going to do about it?

4. Did you every think about getting into another line of work, like shining shoes or washing dishes, where your tactical miscalculations are a bit less costly?

Maybe this fellow has been successful in the Peter principle and rose to his level of incompetence. Maybe it's time he took one for the team.

Arabs can't do anything without adult supervision.

The thing is that this is a game Israel and her neighbors have been playing for quite a while. They each kidnap each other and then after a while negotiate a trade.

But Israel decided to up the ante. Whether it was because of the Bush Regime pushing for a war to test stuff out before an invasion of Iran or whether Israel was hoping to take the focus off of it's inhumane treatment of Gaza (knocking out the electricity for half the population etc.) or some other reason, you and I can't know.

I took a different take on this. Compare it to Bush who can't ever admit a mistake. Ok so maybe he's done one now with Katrina. The more I read about Nasralla the better I like him. That's better as relative to before. I'm wary of all leaders, so take that with a grain of salt.

Jef Wegerson,

I think the ferocity of the response had more to do with internal Israeli politics and the recent "surrender" of land. The Israeli street was looking for less terror (as promised by their new govt.) and they got more. Nothing moves a democracy like pissed off constituents.

Please come by more often.

Golf Schoolie,

Are you blog spam or are you up front? If you're spam, this is a good twist on it.

Golf School? That's kind of like sex school. You don't have to be any good at either to enjoy it.

Obsession,

Unless you're a defense contractor or an Al Quaeda recruiter. Then it's very good for business.

As a general rule, war only sucks for poor people.
