Go MAC and go there often , Snow Leopard is so stable that I forget I am on a computer
My new laptop came with a "free" upgrade to Windoze 7, though Vista hasn't been too bad for me.
I'd have gone Mac but I worried about how well all my PC programs would run on the Mac.
The new macs have that windows environment emulator deal...i've heard it's kind of sketchy, but workable. I use a PC though so I'm not up on all the mac stuff. If you get a true Mac lover to help you out he or she can generally trick the heck out of it
