LEFTIES CAN BE OUT OF TOUCH, TOO

There's a contributor on "DailyKos" writing about what a jerk Shimkus is for bailing early on the Prez in symbolic fashion. Fair enough.

Then this "in touch" writer says he's from Southern Illinois and is gonna call Shimkus' office and invites others to do the same. Then he GIVES THE PHONE NUMBER beginning with a "202" area code.

Sure, son, you're from Illinois. Pass the KoolAid. Us mindless dems will follow you anywhere.

He had the jerkness right, then peed away his credibility.

But wouldn't that be Shimkus's D.C. office? I don't see the problem.

If I wanted to call my congressperson why would I call a local office? They don't know anything. I'd call Washington, right? Where else would the guy/gal be?

0514 and 1401--

The point was the writer SAID it was the Springfield Office, said he/she was an Illinoisan and didn't know that the AC for Central Illinois was 202. Doesn't sound authentic to me.

The Kos kid forgot to read the dummies guide to astroturfing.

Moderate crowd for the Quincy Tea Party, even with Breitbart in town.

DC was packed though ... 1.5 to 2 million, by one estimate, reportedly cops or ABC. These are bodies that actually showed up .... not some Kos kid trying to pretend to be 100 people.

1448,

I dunno. I think 2500 peeps on an Autumn Saturday Afternoon in Downtown Quincy is pretty good and that's what some experienced nosecounters are telling me the apex was. Seems like pretty good work to me.

well, it looks like less than a million ... maybe 150,000. Still an impressive turnout.

About the same as the million man march.
