If Mexico is so freaking independent, why does the United States of America pay through the nose to police Mexico's drug gangs?

But (try to look solemn) the guns from the USA and the drug demand is in the USA. Great. The illegal alien serial killers tend to come from Mexico. How about some pesos for homicide cops and prosecutors here?

Ooooh, maybe that "shared responsibility (read: "Guilt") " doesn't work so well for Ol' Mehiko after all.
