Today I am in a town where the wait staff, store clerks, hotel employees ask you "Sir, are you a veteran?" When I tell them "yes" they say "Thank you for your service. Enjoy your stay." A lot of stores discount to vets.

I was talking to a young German co-worker once who remarked how she liked how Americans appreciated their soldiers/veterans. I had to tell her it wasn't always that way, but glad it is at the moment.
Don't tell them you are an attorney. They'll start spitting on you again.

I think some of those spitters grew up and are still causing trouble, but they are professors now, and/or getting heard in the White House.
You know, I weighed my humor (20:08) against the gravity of the implications in your post and hoped that the humor would be well taken. Now I need to hear, hear 22:25. Thank you, as well, UMRB.
