was there today selling tickets for the Chiefs Charity Football Game on 8-29....it benefits The Children's Center for the Visually Impaired. If anyone from Quincy wants to go to that game, you can get a ticket and commemorative t-shirt for $30 that supports the Center by going to the website:

www.chiefscharitygame.com

It helps a great cause I support

UMR you should try Chapelle's in NKC on your next trip. It is owned by a guy who is from Keokuk, you can't believe the memorabilia, that is worth the trip itself.

I haven't spent much time in KC since the 70's--It's a whole nother experience now, especially the Kas. side--Just hold the dirty bird memorabilia!

Keep those tips coming.

You CANNOT go to KC without eating at a Gates BBQ. Don't go to JackStack- GATES. I think they sell the sauce at Hy-Vee in Quincy actually.

Met the founder and been to Gates.

I don't hit the bbq mood too often but there's no better than Gates in the Midwest.

I haven't tried that one...I'll put it on the list though- checked out the website- any restaurant that brings together Jimmy Carter and Playboy Magazine has to have somethign going for it. Still dont' see how you can beat the beef and a half at Gates, but we'll see

Kansas Speedway area in KC Kansas is very nice, Legends Mall, a new Arthur B's Tookie, maybe a new casino @ the Speedway?

Gates is best, in my opinion, Bryant is good too.

Oklahoma Joe's is a winner. I'm kind of in the sports bar category here but thanks for the input. Adding to lists.
