WHY IS IT.....

Whole wheat bread costs more than white bread? It has to require some labor to refine the wheat into white flour? It's counterintuitive that the whole wheat should be more costly.

My guess is they probably make more white bread than wheat, therefore it becomes cheaper to produce.

Oh, Great. The old "Economies of Scale" argument....now every time I eat white bread, I'll be worried about biting into scales.

I asked Al Sharpton ... he said it was because of racism.

It could also be marketing ... brown is perceived as healthy ... health foods cost more than those "white death" foods.
