WHATEVER THE QUESTION WAS.....
Julio Lugo isn't the answer.

No Andrew Breitbart was the answer
Tookie mancrush alert!
Well after going 0-15 ... DeRosa found his groove.
I know nothing about Lugo, but I wouldn't bet against LaRussa ... they seem to come out well in most trades.
Some speed and maybe some power ... what is wrong with Lugo?
Lugo! We Cards fans will take anything. Moz is following Cheryl Crow theory "I said a change, a change, will do you good"
Wished they would have been able to pry Brad Penny loose from Boston instead. He hasn't had the best year, but he would still be better than Wellemeyer has pitched
DeRosa is a Playah!
CPerez will be a star for somebody, someday so that was value for value.

1037,
Oh, to your point...old, cranky, hits women, and was already DFA at Boston. DFA means, watch for that doorknob!
Happy (Matt) Hollidays!
Wow, a bold move.
The Cardinals have purged the cheap-ass, slow-trigger-Orlando-Hudson tag.
Now, here's the question. Oakland didn't get much and actually paid money to do this deal (Unless you believe that Brett Wallace is the second coming of George Brett). What do they know about Holliday that the Cardinals don't?
In '05 Holliday was MVP material. Today, he doesn't even have Jesus Alou numbers. Maybe the shutdown defense on PED's has something to do with that. Maybe he's plateaued. Maybe he's started drinking too much. I hope St. Louis did more-than-due diligence on this one.
If they got the real Matt Holliday, see ya in October. If they got some shell, see ya in 2013.
Very interesting.

I think probably the Rocky Mountain Air might have had something to do with his monster 2007 season. If you look at the splits he was a .300 hitter away from Mile high and a .375 or something at home. I imagine with the way he was trending recently he will finish at around .300, maybe a little higher if his fellow outfielders are productive.
