SCIENTISTS IN INDIA CLONE BUFFALO
Which raises the question: why do we need a reproductive option for Buffalo? It's not like there's a shortage of 'em.

Apparently you don't drive by the "Catholic Charities Center" on 4th and state on Fridays. You will find plenty of "Buffalo",some over 325 .lbs, maybe cloned, maybe not, waiting for feed.
UMR, you know I love ya man, but it would be helpful if you linked to what you were commenting about.
I assume you are referring to this article.
As noted in the link, India has the largest population of the best buffaloes in the world, but the percentage of elite animals is very low.
I'll be damned if I know what constitutes an "elite" buffalo, but this is the stated reason the Indians are cloning them.
I assume these are water buffalo or some other type, rather than the bison that are native here---otherwise, every time I stroll by the frozen food section of the local HyVee, I have an opportunity to buy these "elite" buffalo burgers.
Maybe they're eastern educated and then shuffle off to Buffalo.
Thanks, That is the article.
