A HELPFUL SUGGESTION FOR ADAMS COUNTY YOUNG DEMOCRATS
Actually two suggestions:
1. Have the damn enormously successful steak fry every year, same time every year. (Second Friday in June really worked well but you pick the time and keep to it.);
2. Name it "The Butch." No other description will be required.
When you have it in the off year, keep the money and spend it anything you think will help the party: aldermanic elections; college student recruitment; electronic party newsletter.
Several times, YD's have come THIS CLOSE to being a true power in democrat politics here. Each time, it has not been sustained. My able, young friends, do this and prosper from doing it.

I think with a Birthday the one who could plan and TYPE was no longer allowed to be active with them.
If you look at their leadership , I see only one who can use MS WORD .
Damn ease up on them some UMR ....
The OLD Dem Club isn't cooking much these days or sending out party letters either.

You vastly underestimate this group. Lots of talent here. Need one Alpha Leader to step up and want it.
The young element of the GOP blossomed locally in the the 70's and they pretty much ran the table. They, of course, had a vehicle to make that happen (JayCees). Current young dems have to make and maintain their own leadership development vehicle. When they do an event, it's top notch.
This is the opposite of beating them up. I'm saying they should do more of what they already do with excellence.

Its a shame the YD aren't more active. Looks like the other side is still having regular events. Even if they are sporatic, it is better than nothing.

This is very unfortunate. I choose to look at it as insufficient staff work.
I was away from all things electronic until about a half hour ago and this came as a gut punch. Classifying Material is an incredible balancing act. Classifying too much (the current rage) erodes trust. Not honoring that which is properly classified erodes trust. WJC administration was very good in the first area and was later besmirched due to B's conduct. I disagree with allowing him back into the tent in any capacity.
