Illini favored (Oddsmaker on crack or Badgers just not that good?) Piggies play a cupcake with T-Mac whole, Heisman resuscitation. Missouri/Nebraska outdoor cocktail party. Bears at the Cheese for salvation or dumper game. Cubs on the precipice. Yankee pitching faces further exposure. State Fair Game in Texas. Big game for QND and a "lay-it-on-the-line" game for QHS.
That doesn't begin to cover it. Why can't every month be October?

"Loserville" may be a little strong. Cards have been one of the most successful small market teams of the last 30 years.
One can argue they are not a true small market team anymore but they have success. That may change if TLR hits the door after Jockety.

Not really related to this weekend in sports but I have a sports question for you. Women's athletics has come a long way in say the last 10 to 15 years. I don't think most would question the fact that men are still perhaps stronger, faster and bigger than females on the whole.
At what varying level(s) do the two become competitive. Or is it apples and oranges? Use basketball for an example.
I have long claimed that in any given year, the IHSA 2A Champs could beat the WNBA Champs 9 out of 10 games. Any thoughts?
