UH, GUYS, PUT A SOCK IN IT, HUH?
Late lunch, small eatery. Two, guys, next table. These guys were literally talking about a business deal that had some confidential information in it and was worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to them. They made no effort to keep it hushed. I know everything I need to know to either mess it up or maybe even get some of it myself. I got the idea that they thought it was kinda cool to talk loud about their big deal. I thought it was beyond stupid.
If you fellas can't restrain yourselves, order out next time.

I see this and hear this all the time. Some people around town like to drop names more then a Dennis Miller standup. I know plenty of guys who talk about who they do business with and personal information about their clients. If their clients knew, they would lose them for sure.
Very dumb.
Maybe they need to learn the hard way.
I'm glad you're not the only one who notices such things. I wonder sometimes if it's not done on purpose to try to impress those in earshot what bigshots they are. Most often it appears to me that the loud talkers are nothing more than that.
Where you eatin? I need some tips on who to invest with.
It wasn't Lootie talking about selling stolen beer to migrant workers, was it?
Guys like this don't get things done, they just want to make themselves seem important.
Watch out for the ones that are very, very, very quiet about thier business dealings. they are the real shrewd operators.
;)
Rocky,
I hadda laugh at your observations. I keep other people's secrets for a living and agree with you completely.
This was a little different. These guys were talking about their own deal. In some ways, that's evens stupider.
BTW, I was deeply disappointed that you did not participate in the Ricky Williams thread. He is now out for season.
Wonder if they have medical marijuana in Toronto.
