If everybody stays the same, they're four short but Hatch and Frist say they can flip five. I doubt it.

Well, he did it. Now let's see who is right. My bet is Hatch and Frist don't have the votes even though I hate to agree with umrblog on anything political.
They don't have them and can't get them.
Watch the general approval rating in the next CNN/Wall St. poll. Of course this activates the base but the folks in the sun belt seem pretty in favor of SSR, I guess because they want to stay retired at Del Webb's Sun City forever.
Could be a bump down in some swingy states.
Someone from the right has to answer a simple question for me.
What happens to these embryo's if they are not used for research?
Their doctrinal answer is "There are no embryos. There are only human beings waitng to happen." The best way to deal with an ethical/moral issue is to assume it away.
