SAD BUT TRUE: CINDY SHEEHAN NO LONGER RELEVANT

As a Legion and VVA member, I mourn Cindy Sheehan's loss. Still, she's so obviously around the bend now that she can no longer be an opinion leader. A leader is someone who others willingly follow. Yesterday Sheehan said she'd rather live under the Venezuelan regime than in the USA under president Bush. Game, Set, Match. Americans are funny about that stuff. When you say you prefer a foreign country, it's pretty much "OK, you go live there and we'll make the best USA we can." I'm guessing that all but her most whacked out followers will drift away gradually.

Bad move, Cindy.

Socio-political commentary. I never have worshipped at that altar.

Thanks for coming by. Haven't even looked in on you today. Day Job.

Kind of related, but thank God Missouri took steps to keep that group from Topeka away from military funerals. I heard they had the one in Kirksville in their sights.

What this group is doing is the very definition of obscenity, if you get down to it. I'm glad I'm too old to do to them what I'd like to.........

Loot-em-ups,

You've got a gift for underscoring the obvious. I hope nobody who stops in here really needed that tutorial!

Anon 1506,

Whenever the ends justify the means, the invevitable slippery slope lies just ahead.

There is no bigger free speecher than I but anyone's family should be allowed to grieve his death in their own way and in peace.

Thanks for reminding us.

The Cindy Sheehan story on the gravesite of her son is kind of surprising and shocking to say the least, I wish more media would have covered that story. Almost 2 years after before there was even a headstone. This whole thing stinks, right up to her birthday/hunger strike with the stars. I think it would do the repubs well to bring this lady up as much as possible. There is no sympathy, just exploitation of her sons death. This coming from a guy in the middle of America and in the middle when it comes to politics.

Actually there are about 300 of them protesting in various ways but they are not unified as to what they are protesting. Some are protesting the armor deficit, some the lack of counterinsurgency training, some want us out and some want more troops there.

None of the others are signing up to submit to a foreign regime. To me that's illegitimate.

Rockasauras makes a good point too. Maybe CS's 15 minutes of fame intoxicated her. Now she's an expert on everything from ICBM policy to organic peach fuzz. Just don't turn off the camera!
