AFGHANISTAN: BY GOD, WE DIDN'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES THE RUSSIANS MADE!

No sir, we created all new, original material. The Russians fought an infantry type war there and slaughtered about everybody they could catch. We fought a specialists' counterinsurgency war there and pretty much let everybody escape so they could attack us later.

The Russians pretty much wanted to move in from the North and take over the whole country. We are satified to control about 16 square blocks of the capital and say we have the country under control.

I don't know which is better but the net results sure look a lot alike.
