THE UNSEEN HAND OF THE MARKETPLACE: CENTRALIZED DAY SURGERY

Pssst, Hey, Wanna Buy a day surgery center cheap?

What a concept! Quincy will only support one day surgery center. This probably would have been a good thing to determine before two different entities started competing for day surgery business.

Anyway, it all has a happy ending for whoever holds the mortgage. The payments will be made and the bricks will still be red and we'll all live happily ever after. Wouldn't you have loved to see the market research that encouraged the building of that structure a few years ago? "If you build it, they will come" only works for ball fields in Iowa.

55 layoffs make a little more sense now.

Why is it that, whatever the posts start out discussing, it somehow always comes back to sex and violence?

If by "sex and violence" you mean a play by play description of Powers Boothe slappin' someone up real sexy... you're right on baby.

I guess it's too much to hope for on a Friday Summer Afternoon when the Cubs lost that the discussion would somehow be elevated.

Have a Nice Weekend!

No... he rolled with that chick from Caroline in the City and Howard the Duck.

That was just on the other night. How Powers Boothe didn't collect what should have been his sixth or seventh Oscar for the movie... this badass will never know.

I think you will both benefit from a weekend of longnecks. Arrange a DD and come back refreshed.

This horse is Weitholder dead. No point beating it any further.

there has also been rumblings that the Doctors pay has been cut as much as 30% recently because of the massive debt....Rumors maybe, but it sounds like there could be some fire with that smoke.

Lootmeister,

I do not need the schematic, just trying to keep us vaguely on topic.

Do you suppose all this pub is a swell recruiting tool at Clincsville?

Save the chalk for hopscotch. We could sell tickets to that!

VINDICATION:

It seems that you'alls unofficial party leader, Chuck "I brought the prez to town" Scholz is saying what I've been saying all along: the state needs to start paying it's medical bills, we are a medical-centered community, have lots of nuring homes, clinics, pharm's, etc. HE TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH! Even called out the present administration. Maybe it weren't bad business after all. Still looking for the book "Idiots guide to runnin healthcare 2 mill in red".

Boy, do I feel vindicated.

And the solution is so easy. Any new car dealer will tell you how to handle a drawing account for a service provider.

The truth and manipulating the truth to get votes are two very different things!

55 layoffs is a bad thing but you want to sound like you on the side of 800 current employee's. QMG has spun the reality of their poor management and politicians have to play the game.

Anon 0820,

What "you" are you talking about? I welcome your points but would appreciate it if you could make them so they're understandable.

Go for simple, declarative sentences with names in them.
