MCSCREWDRIVER, YOUTUBE AND WHY IT'S CALLED "PAID" POLITICAL ADVERTISING

OK, here is the current turf. The general idea of Television ads is for them to run on television.

The nice TV folks, however, like to get a check before they run ads. As a consequence, you may not have seen the package of the challenger's TV ads. It could be because he has spent his money on reprinting unreadable letters from folks who are no longer involved in city government. It could be because he has spent too much on postage and production to mail out hate pieces (Who wrote that thing?). Anyway, I thought you might like to have an overview. Producers always name these things. Since I don't have the names, I just supply my own names.

The first one has the candidate sitting and talking about.........well, I don't really know what it's about. He's sitting on a stool and and I can't concentrate because I'm trying to figure out whether that is actually a "Members Only" jacket. I call that one "Members Only"

The Second one is the famed "Screwdriver" ad. This is the one where he says he loves families and hates relatives. Who can't identify with that?

The Third is McScrewdriver, wearing camo, walking in a park talking about children. I use police terms to describe this one as "Suspicious Male Near Swing Set".

There you have it. Coming to a TV near you, maybe.

What's the producer's name for Spring's ad?

Never heard of him before. I think he said his name was Spielberg.

Hate piece?

Don't take money from criminals and call them friends of Quincy.

Unlike Spring's TV ad, the facts in the Blago/Spring flyer are true.

Since you are in the know, why does Spring think it is important to take money from people like that?

Still waiting for John Spring's Website.

Since we have such a crack IT department, I'm surprised they couldn't come up with one in their free time.

I take it you are referring to Rabbi Esflores. My google search does not disclose any criminal history for him. In fact he won an important humanitarian award just last year.

My beef with him is that he supported the two "pay to play" artists Pate Phillip and Lee Daniels. Nobody's perfect.

Why, golly, some folks even say they won't take out of town money, then do. And some folks say they won't take money from folks with city contracts, then do.

The trouble with pointing fingers at folks is the other three are pointing back at you.

Oh, That name:

It's a player to be named later but the favorite is "Spring Time in Quincy"

"Would you repeat the question"

I see the problem. You spelled it wrong. It's Morris Esformes.

And Still no crime.

An awful lot of charitable giving, some regulatory trouble with facilities he owned, but I'm still looking for that all-important crime.

Just remember, McScrewdriver set the standard here for himself. If he can't live up to his own standards, how could he be expected to inspire others to do so.

I don't think Spring's opponent called him a criminal.

You sound awful worried about a campaign that is "in the bag"

What's wrong aren't we supposed to fight and campaign ?

Maybe we should just quit and give the Mayor back to Spring so he can talk down all his people .

0939 Did

That is misstatement I am correcting.

If campaigns about campaigning are all Mr. Spring's opponent has to talk about, I probably won't bother to check whether he called somebody a criminal or not.

Here I thought his purpose was to decide who should operate hydropower plants before construction permits were issued. Didn't know he was going to do "hate piece annex"

Morry, my Morry, they (ins salesmen) always used to say "you need to buy long-term HC Ins, you don't want to end up at 8th & Sycamore....."

Do you misstate facts on purpose, or do really just not read very well?

You'll look a long time in vain for me ever saying any political race is "in the bag".

I'm commenting on the campaign as it unfolds and I am unimpressed with the whole concept of "camaign about the campaign".
