WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOUR STATE'S $12.5B UPSIDE DOWN?

Of course, it's obvious: work on drug testing for Junior Varsity Tennis Players in Illinois High Schools. Your most responsive body, the Illinois House, doing makework to avoid the heavy lifting.

I could do one of these posts a day if I wanted to---but it's too damned depressing.

That last post I did about the frivolity of our wonderful State O' Illinois lawmakers was a bit about them spending time and effort returning the planet Pluto to its rightful place in the solar system.

sheesh!

But this sort of thing just reinforces my opinion that even though Blago was jettisoned, nothing would change since we still have the same dullards in the legislature we did before and Our Dullards still don't want to deal with reality---they don't want to raise taxes but they want more services---just like when Blago was governor.

In a rational world this would be a primo opportunity for the GOP to come in with guns blazing and bring some political diversity to our One Party Democrat Government.

That's so funny I forgot to laugh.

I can't get beyond giving most State of IL employees furlough days while they vote themselves a 2.7 percent increase for the new fiscal year. It makes my head hurt.

Hey but we're getting $3 to $4 billion from the feds, so we REALLY only $8.5 bill upside down!

*rolling my eyes*

They have so many plans to spend that money, no way it's going to be applied against the deficit.
