THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING

So far today, I've been in the Circuit Court, the State's Attorney's Office, the Circuit Clerk, The Probation Department, the City Treasurer, Comptroller, HR Director and Reception area. There's one or more sick person in every one of them.

What a recipe for epidemic disease. Get everybody on a negative diet, sleep deprived and full of anxiety, then jam them into crowded places (Malls, WalMarts, Churches and Parties) where they can share all of the mutant, antibiotic resistant bugs they've cooked up in their little human petry dishes and then, if they're not already contaminated, keep them in the house all day sharing the same food source.

Honoring Baby Jesus by viral sharing--It's a family value. Since we really don't know what date Jesus was actually born on, maybe we should Spread the holiday around in the warm months. You know, like A-E in May, F-M in June, etc. This would also help reduce stress on package handlers and spread cash flow more evenly for retailers. I'll be the Centers for Disease Control would like it!

Sick or called in sick? I suspect there is a difference on the day after Christmas when many offices opted to close Tuesday and not Friday.

Oh, no. I'm talking about gamers, toughing it out even though they are obviously in distress.

I'm not even getting to absent people. I think in some offices,in the collective bargaining agreement, there is an incentive to be there the day after what would otherwise be a paid holiday.

I do not understand why people insist on going to work when they are sick. All they do then is to spread their illness to everyone else in the office. Yeah, they get to keep their "perfect attendance record" and save the company 8 man-hours. But then they cost the company who knows how many man-hours when everyone else has to call in sick...

STAY HOME AND GET BETTER WHEN YOU'RE SICK!!!

This is a kind of sharing we can do without.

I think it was the 1958 Asian Flu epidemic, the biggest source of its spread was "gamers".

Of course, you've got the same thing in Church and Wally World.
