A QND WINNER, EVEN AFTER A LOSS....

Nobody will ever give a better postgame interview after a loss than Coach Connell. Humble, Responsible, Sportsmanlike. I was as deeply impressed as I was disappointed at the loss. Way to go, Coach. You're the kind of man who should be leading young people.

Hear the rumor, again, that he may be going to QHS. Maybe another lucnh with Dale V. is in order. But, come to think of it , it would be great to see what he could do with QHS.

Also, bring back the QHS-QND football game.

Also, ND & the HS would be a great b-ball game.

Again, the blogosphere is as good as anyway to get this going. We need some hot-ticket items in Quincy, some marguee match-ups. We need the QHS-QND football game, and also basketball. Think of the money that could be made for the programs! Also, there isn't that much going on in Q-town, am tired of road-tripping all over mid-west for sports. Everyone, call the AD's at the QHS and QND & tell them we want varsity football and boys basketball games scheduled.

Dickens is resigning today. Have there really been Connell to QHS rumors?

1225,

Lemme see, Coach D has a great wife and a really nice family. Should he spend more time with them or spend another year trying push a boulder up a mountain with his nose?

This is just me but I think the fork in the road for coach C was when he became A.D. at QND. At that moment, I'm guessing, he became a lifer at QND and that's probably good for both of them.

If there's an opening for head football coach at QHS, I have a candidate. His initials are T. G.

I'm not sure I'm prepared to write my politically incorrect analysis of QHS football in the public domain but hint would be that most Blue Devil fans only think there's one "Bladder" sport--Which is kind of interesting because basketballs don't really have bladders anymore.

Boys Basketball
QND @ QHS, January 6, 2007 7:30pm

Next year they will play at QND.

As for football, it's unlikely they will play each other due to the method in which the IHSA determines playoff classifications. QND already plays in a conference in which they are the smallest team. If they put QHS on their schedule, it would almost surely move them into Class 5A, which is two classes higher than their actual enrollment.

Anon 1754,

Please be careful, you're inching us closer to a discussion of the freaking MULTIPLIER! Very bad for my blood pressure.
