FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO THINK THE TOTAL PRIMARY POPULAR VOTE IS IMPORTANT......
........Of which your friendly Basin is not one, here are some numbers to munch on.
Clinton = 15,095,663
Obama = 14,973,720
Sources, ABC News and Real Clear Politics.
Undeniable, if somewhat unimportant, fact: More human beings have voted for HRC in this primary season that for BObama.
5 Comments:
does this include Michigan and Florida? If so it shouldn't, even HRC said so.
OK,
I'm sure RCP and ABC will get right on that.

All I know is that the Dem's have a serious issue on their hands and it is likely going to lead to McCain winning in November.
In answer to 12:36's question, yes, these numbers includes Michigan and Florida. There's a CNN article on the dueling popular vote counts here:

If the delegates from both states (MI and FL) are included - a candidate will get to the required number of delegates to win the nomination. I say give the popular vote and delgates to Hillary from Florida based on the vote (even though Obama did not campaign there and split the Michigan delegates 50-50 since Obama was not even on the ballot in that state. The delegates from those states will be seated and the Dem Party will have a nominee before the convention.
