DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, VICTIMS AND THE ADAMS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

Sheriff Fischer's troops got a well deserved award at the 100 against Family Violence ceremony today. It seems they go the extra mile in notifying victims when their abusers are about to get out of the joint. It also seems they make a special effort to serve Orders of Protection as soon as possible, even when the abuser goes underground.

These women aren't on the blogosphere for the most part but Quanada and the other protective agencies spoke out on their behalf today.

Even the fact that it happened in a cold rain couldn't kill the buzz.

Way to Go, Sheriff and his posse. Protecting those who have trouble protecting themselves. What a concept!
