WHEN NIXON SAID "I AM NOT A CROOK", THE REST WAS INEVITABLE

So now Imus says "I am not a racist" Impeachment awaits.

Stevie Williams says "I am not responsible for club selection". He's fired. It's just a matter of filling in the date.

Some things are self-executing and really don't need to be discussed.

So let's talk about mispeaks that really burn me up. I'll limit myself to my two current favorites.

"Here comes the calvary, riding in to the rescue!"

" It's important that kids stay in school and get that high school degree".

These two beauties oughta be enough to get one's application for a Sam's club card rejected.

Today show slammed the Rev Jesse Jackson today ! They brought up 1984's NYC is a Heimie town , and about 8 other uses where the good Rev was real anti-semitic .

He dodged it so hard yet looked a total fool , unreal what the FLUF press can do some mornings.

The real issue is the word "ho" to describe Student atheletes and that deserved an "I'm sorry and way out of line" .

It isn't a race thing , but a poor taste issue to young college girls playing damn good hoops.

I think Imus should write a HUGE check to NCAA girls basketball programs and I would over look his slip up.

It's just a boring topic. He's some eccentric guy from New York.

On the merits, once you say "I am not a....." you're pretty much screwed.

Lump him in with Anna Nicole's surviving entourage and Brangelina. Just very boring.

TYFCB. I saw the outtake you're talking about. Sharpton wins another round and is moving toward moral leadership of the Nanny State. There are just not enough Cosby's to go around. But, then again, that's fairly boring, too.

But tell me if IMUS wouldn't write a BIG and I mean real big check to Rutger's womens basketball , the son of a b*tch would be forgiven and get season tickets.

and Imus being Imus would prob go to as many games as he could .

I have never heard this guts voice once and do not appreciate Shock Jocks. Imus remarks, particularly nappy hair, very inappropriate. Why take on nonprofessional athletics. The team I saw today from Rutgers all had their hair straigtened and no "Nappy hair". In my mind, that is the insult. Apologies do not work anymore, they have to kill you. I think thats wrong.

BTW, what burns you about the two statements?

As soon as the same media that is abusing Imus stops producing records and record labels amd specials with Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle, that spit out this and other hatred (yet make them a ton of money), I might start listening to the debate.

Until then, it is the just more noise.

How funny. You should devote a new section to the calvary, degree and other goofs. No doubt, with graduation around the corner, there will be many high school degree parties!

If he were in Western Nebraska or Central Oklahoma in a small market equal to his talent level, we would have never heard a word about this. Because it was in New Yawk, center of the universe, it's a big deal.

Talent wise, this guy wouldn't have made a pimple on Reggie Coleman's butt, but here we are talking about him instead of Bill Gates or Rick Warren or anybody who's making a real positive difference.

Give him a microphone in Siberia and let's talk about something more interesting.

Not surprising - The women of Rutgers had more class than Jesse and Al. Hope the questioning of their leadership from black people continues.

Say it isn't so about Stevie. Why would a caddie get into an argument about club selection - Steve historu in the past of selecting clubs is not good,
