Good post. I followed the Card's when they where in St. Louis, what would it take for this org to be a contender? Why would anyone want to coach there? Would like to see some success in the desert, someday. Is Bill's son really just another Bill?

Speaking of coaching vacancies, I hear "Meet the new coach, same as the old coach" may be said soon at a local HS.

Things are so much different in Phoenix now than they were even ten years ago, so much wealth, so many people with leisure time, new, wonderful facility that the Cards could win and win soon. But I think the Bidwell factor is genetically passed on. One Playoff win in 60 years!

Does anybody doubt that Mark Cuban would have success with that franchise? Or, wealth neutral, Joe Garagiola, Jr? Coverage guys and Offensive tackles and they could win soon.

I am one of the biggest Cardinal fans around. I stayed with them after the move. I have seen it all, but this year might take the cake. Football fans ignore the Big Red so many did not get to see the implosions - Chiefs, Rams, Bears - with the last being the worst loss I have ever seen. I can tell you the talent is there, even on the defense. Someone needs to change the culture - and like any other organization that is the hardest thing to change. The Cards do suffer from the ownership. The Bidwill's sole business is the NFL - one of the only ownership groups like that in the NFL - so they protect their bottom line more firmly than other owners. The Cards are always under the salary cap - every year. They took a chance on Green and paid him more - it didn't work so now they will try to find a coach cheap - they still have to pay Green. I have seen coaches and players come and go - the only thing that has not changed is the owner. In the Army we used to fix our equipment by changing components until we found the problem - it is time to change the owner in ARZ and see if that helps.
