HANNIBAL DOUBLE WHACK; GIVE IT A REST!

Let's all assume that the Hannibal P.D. had any meaningful way to identify this guy as an illegal at first contact. Let's assume they immediately called INS/ICE.

Who is it we think was going to come, pick him up and deport him? Tinker Bell?

Welcome to a cop's life. Maybe if Hannibal had 600 of them at one time and they were working in a Chicken plant.....or a WalMart.

Blame's easy. Fixing the national immigration mess is difficult.

Tom Reddington's remarks about the inability to provide teeth for the order of protection were pretty weak. It has the look of an olad fashioned cluster f. Plenty of chances to prevent this, no one individual(s) took a chance, however.

I'm starting to think concealed carry is a good idea after this.

How do you bigin to deport 12 million illigals??? ONE AT A TIME!!!! I'm tired of the police hiding behind the it's not my problem shield . It IS their problem and is more important to our safty than seatbelt etc. enforcement. DO YOUR JOB!

But UMR, you have to understand the public's sense of WTF!, dont you? Doesn't the PO do a social history? How can a guy be on supervised probation in the US, and he isn't even a citizen? Also, he should have been charged for violated the RO! The gal has to go to her cell phone co and get proof? Good luck with that, if her carrier is anything like mine.... Isn't her testimony enough for RO violation? HPD , MC SA office, and Marion Co Prob & Parole dropped the ball big time, and collectively.

Missouri HAS concealed carry.

Unfortunately neither of the victims were carrying, concealed or unconcealed.

Otherwise we might be talking about Mr. Cazares ass full of buckshot rather than two people knifed and left like rotten meat on the slaughterhouse floor.

1201,

Ask the Beardstown PD how that works out. Lock Juan up and and wait for INS/ICE to show up for him. Eventually a bond is set, they got nothing to charge him with and no deportation.

The "One at a time" thing would be great, if anybody actually did it. Don't blame the local PD. You're asking them to do a useless act. Lock 'em up and wait for the feddies.

1426,

I clearly understand the need to affix blame, the outrage and, yes, the WTF.

Natural.

Here's who you blame, the scumbags in DC. Bush should have been impeached for failing to protect the citizen of the United Stated, for failing to enforce the borders. Now it's Obama's turn. Troops on the borders or impeach him.

As far as the Hannibal Police Department, they have to live with their lack of protection for Thomas. Nice job donut butts.

What's the point of getting a restraining order if the PD won't enforce it. This poor girl, although no rocket scientist or nun didn't deserve to be killed. Why can't the police call the Cell phone company and subpoena the records? It's like they couldn't find time? How about on a slow Sunday afternoon, --when it's snowing or something.
The Police Chief and Prosecuting Attorney are doing a CYA, as you would expect. This sends a chill down the back of any scared woman who got caught in a bad/dangerous relationship, and sees she can't depend on the Police to help her.
That's when she gets a gun and starts shooting,--- and that my friend is where the Lib's step in and say: "See, told you so, more guns, more violence". And it had nothing to do with the gun. The poor woman just had no other choice.
I'm not taking this to a gun control topic, I just have a close family person in an eerily similar circumstance.
Illegal Alien or not, it was LE screw-up.

Last two comments are correct that there are a lot of layers to this.

We'll talk about the OP's a little later.

When can we talk about the O.P.?

If you want to talk about this one in particular, just start it here.

The whole OP method is probably another topic for discussion.

Start it up. See where it goes. I'm kind of heavy into day job for the rest of today.
