Was Mark showing his age there, just a bit?
First of all, he finished. The first goal of any road racer is to finish.
Second, look at his splits up to 25k, pretty good. He got some runner-specific nourishment at a hydration station of a kind he hadn't tried and cramped up after that.
But, Hell, he got married, bought a house is gonna have baby, got a big, new job and ran a marathon all in the last year or so. It's a wonder he can take out the trash, let alone run a marathon in a faraway city.
I'm equally proud of both my buddies.
TYFCB
Only way I run that far is if The Turks from " Larry of Arabia" were after me to do what they did to Larry ................
Jolly For Marky but Damn age has it's perks like NOT having to do that
