MY TAKE ON "SNIPER FIRE," MORE OR LESS

My take on the whole sniper fire issue is that this country urgently needs to people to start voting again. It's obvious the media doesn't have the horsepower or patience to deal with Issues like Social Security Meltdown, Possible War in South and Central America, further interruptions in the petro pipeline and the role of diplomacy in our relationship with Iran. It's also obvious this is a getback for no debate for Katie. Thus, the only thing that will save us from this drivel is an election where at least there will be real numbers and humans for the press to report upon.

It's a mistake but it's a two on a ten scale. Even the Wright response was about a four on a ten scale but it orbited because there is no election upon which to report.

It was so nice to see baseball on over my morning coffee to spare me from the drivel. I'll focus again when the fat is in the fire.

Was the "mistake" lying or mis speaking?

Hillary told of her harrowing brush with death with Sinbad. It turned out it was a harrowing visit with an eight year old girl. Instead of explaining or defending her, in a performance worthy of William Buckley, you dismissed her "untruth" as unworthy of even being reported. This was a lie on a resume. She needed to be taken to task.

Hell the throw in the general public! Maybe people ought to slow down long enough to read a book once in a while. I'd suggest George Orwells's "1984". Then maybe people will get fed up enough at all the small interest groups that are turning our country into a bunch of passive drones content on living in an ever growing police state.

;)

p.s. not turning repub on ya, just have my stomach full of watching people giving up thier rights on a daily basis and accepting it.

O,

Not at all. Media report trivial crap all the time. Two news cycles wouldn't have happened if we had either an election or a kidnapped white woman to occupy the Cable News beast.

Lie on the resume would have been if she'd never been to Bosnia.

1411,

That is the essential question and one to which we will never have satisfactory answer. Just like Obama saying he never heard any of the incendiary Wright stuff. Only the speaker knows if his/her intent was to deceive.

I pretty much try to believe good things about folks, except for Dick Chaney maybe.

It is dangerous business to pretend we know what is the heart of another.

It would seem the Democrat frontrunners have forgotten about how easy it is to expose liars. Obama has had to admit he did know about Rev. Crazypants Wright's unusual take on the doctrine of Christian love; Hillary has had to finally admit that she didn't land in Bosnia under sniper fire.

What does it take to be a lying Democrat? Oh, I know what you are thinking, "but I repeat myself," and hey, I'm with you. What I'm talking about, though, is what exactly does it take to be called one? What to you have to say, as a Democrat, to get even Bill O'Reilly to say you lied, not misspoke?

And McCain has always been a true conservative, against amnesty and for big time border security.

Human beings screw up under pressure--Reagan and Iran-Contra "I said I'd never trade arms for hostages but I guess I kinda did."

For Starters you could earn three purple hearts in combat and get trashed by a bunch of mouthbreaters who didn't even serve with you.

That would be one example.

In support of her claim that eight years as First Lady qualify her as a foreign policy expert, Hillary Clinton has told dramatic stories about landing in Bosnia under sniper fire and having to run for cover. I'm not sure that, even if true, this would endow her with much diplomatic skill, but it has become clear that Hillary's story is false.

It lacked the added virtue of being true.

That isn't remarkable. What is striking is that CBS News, a long-time Democratic Party stronghold, has exposed Hillary as a fabulist.

1710,

CBS was grinding an axe. The Clinton's are no longer the new toy and Katie hasn't gotten to play Wolf Blitzer or even Campbell Brown on TV.

If she didn't lie, there would be no story. It's her fault. She shouldn't have lied. Everyone else does it, it's Katie's fault. Buck up soldier, place the blame where it belongs.

Now wait a minute!

You bring up that CBS is Clinton-friendly; I bring up an obvious motive for CBS to pound through its file footage to explain that your historic view of CBS viz Clinton's is no longer the case.

Then you tell me whose fault the whole thing is, changing your own subject. It's kind of annoying when you bring up an issue and I respond to it then you change it.

If you don't want to talk about CBS, fine. Then don't. I was only addressing what you brought up.

If you want to discuss the whole morality play, great. Just try to stay on topic, a little anyway.

you "mispsoke" once OK, but when you "MISPOKE" three times on the same subject then you are a liar.
Billary fits the latter! Sorry UMR your sweet little lady has been exposed. It's not the medias fault.

Not true: On 9/11 Chelsea Clinton was dodging airplane debris. True: Chelsea Clinton was asleep 4 miles away and watched 9/11 on TV. Guess who just misspoke again?

I agree---what's the big deal?

We all know the Clinton's lie---Bill's a convicted perjurer---why can't we all just move on?

I just find it sad to see that people are so quick to fight about issues - which there is no way that we will ever agree 100% on these, but...

We are so quick as a nation to look the other way when looking at qualities that we want in our leaders.

Personally, I want a POTUS that deals with and possesses INTEGRITY and CHARACTER.

Hillary
- SniperGate
- Chealsea jogging around the Twin Towers on 9-10 (lie), and many more),

Obama
- Pastor Wright (a bucket full of lies),
- Stating that he was a Law Professor, when he was nothing more than a lecturer,
- Stating that his parents met at the Selma March, when he was born 4-years before the March!

Dang, if you are going to lie endlessly to get to the White House, is there any reason to think that you'd stop once you got there?

Let's wake up people and start looking for Character and Integrity in our leaders!
