DNC: AVOIDING THE APPEARANCE OF BACK ROOM DEALS

I'm sorry but I think this is funny. DNC executive committee is really worried about the public perception that the party's nomination is going to be decided in boardroom meetings and not out in public where it can be followed.

So what are they doing about this terrible problem? Having lots of boardroom meetings.

The more you do of what you're doing, the more you get of what you've got.

The AP says that Obama "sneaked down to North Carolina over the weekend" to visit with former candidate John Edwards. I suppose when you're a messiah and a "new kind of politician," being caught in a situation where you are acting very much like an old politician by sneaking around making back room deals with other politicians.

I take BO's side of this one. He had to scrub his first try because of the Helicopters. He couldn't go north. Rather than being stuck in Chicago, he went south.

Sounds like a pretty good use of down time to me.
