Hey Tony,
I wondered if I left enough clues. I wanted to let you know about the big news.
Guess who's coming to dinner?
That’s right, Dubya is making an appearance here tomorrow AM. “Saturday morning, all Soldiers’ place of duty is at the Camp AJ stage area”. Can you believe it? Attendance is mandatory! If you see it on TV don’t look for me, I will be busy tracking our convoys in the Operations Center.
I imagine he’s going to talk about the reduction in US casualties and how the “surge” is working. I don’t think Al Sadr’s cease fire has anything to do with it. I doubt he’ll mention that.
Thanks for thinking of me, and tell everyone I am doing well and wish all my friends the best.
On a personal note, I ask that everyone says a prayer for Katie. She is scheduled to have open-heart surgery next week, and could use the support.
