SOMEHOW, SOME WAY, THE BCS GETS IT RIGHT!

Just when it looked like the BCS was about to spit the bit, they got it right and have Ohio State Playing the SEC Champion instead of Fichigan, whom they had already beat.

The perverse thing about this is that it is BAD for the game. It'll make it look the BCS is providing a useful National Championship Format and probably get their contract extended, thereby forestalling a true playoff.

Oh, yeah, it's like choosin' between the Yankees and the Mets but, if the SEC CHAMPION isn't better than the second best time in the Big Ten in an overall down year in the Big Ten, then there are no standards at all. The moneygrubbers at BCS at least got the contest right.

Who's to say the second best team in the Big Ten isn't better than the SEC champs? Michigan lost by 3 pts on the road to the #1 ranked team in the nation. Until someone can explain to me how that loss holds less weight than Florida's 10-pt loss to Auburn, then I'll never accept Florida-Ohio St. as the true National Championship game.

That's good. I love it when the legitimacy of the BCS is questioned.

If UMRBLOG'S beloved Hogs could ever learn the rule taught to 8th grade beginning tackle football players about fielding punts, they would have beaten Florida and then we would really have had something to talk about.

There's no question that if that guy continues the way he has this year he will be one of the top candidates.
