HOUSEKEEPING AND ANONYMOUS POSTING

Well, kiddies, for better or for worse, I succumbed to the inevitable and I'm now in the Beta Version of Blogger. When this happened, I had to conform my password to my google member id. The short form of all this is that I have lost my ability to comment on some others' blogs as "UMRBlog"--the Beta ate my password.

So I've reinvented myself as UMRBlogII. That is not an imposter. It's me and, as I have done scrupulously since I started bloghosting, I never post anonymously on anyone's site.

Sorry for the change in procedure.

The Chief Googs tell me it's transitional and there'll be peace in the valley soon.

It's what happens when you play East Cupcake five times and TTU in the wind. It's called waiting seven weeks to start the season.

I use several browsers to check into various blogs including yours.

Since your update to Beta, one of them, Opera, will not load your site nor does the cursor work on whatever video I do get.

PLEASE change back

Anon 1004,

The Googs now tell me that, once "beta'd", I cannot change back. I am truly sorry. I waited two months to bit and thought it was pretty well debugged.

Opera and one other popular browser just flat can't read any of the Goog-blogs yet. They promise they are "working on it".

Only thing I can suggest is that you download the new Mozilla Firefox 2.xx beta. It's opening everything just fine and the Googs have the beta version of blogger completely debugged as to FF.

Had I known, I wouldn't have made the jump. The additonal features are not worth inconviencing my little community.

If I could go back, I would. Only hope is that this is very temporary.

TYFCB and sincere apologies.

Thanks for the reply on my Opera browser problem. By chance I happened to hit the button to make it "full screen" and everything seems to work properly as I type this coment.

Googs are still running apologies that compatibility is only good with IE and Firefox.
