My problem with the this reasoning is that I think Holder would have thought of a ploy that didn't want guns and Mexicans in it, if he were really trying to get the stink off of hisownself.
Still, interesting argument that the Iranians have a disincentive to do anything like this.
It ain't simple out there, boys and girls. And we don't all see it through the same eyeballs.
No truth to the rumor that Hank Williams, Jr. is going to sing at the Al Jazeera shareholders' meeting.

I'd think Iran would also have a disincentive to announce they'd like to "wipe Israel off the map", while the West is considering bombing their nuclear programs off the map ... yet they said as much.
Al Jazeera can offer perspective, much as Tokyo Rose or Axis Sally. Of course CBS and NBC offer pretty good spin at times as well.
But why would Holder and company sell these guns to cartels, and not bother to track them? Some under the counter-thought on that:
Obama said he would work on gun control "beneath the radar" (Mr. Sneaky man that he is). So secretly, guns sold to the cartels from the US show we need gun control. "Selling guns is bad".
Oops, the gang that couldn't shoot straight gets caught ... Holder lied, people died.
I don't think that Holder could pull off this Iranian plot distraction, but it seems like just two guys ... and maybe some radical Twelfth Imam type Iranian.
Or is Obama the Twelfth Imam? (that's a joke, he doesn't seem that capable)
