Do you know who Hughes played for in Illinois and when?
Freeport. Had a brother who played too (Kerry) Late 60's.
The way the sectionals were set up then, it was a bit easier for a team from North or Northwest Illinois to get to the Elite 8 but those teams were pretty good.
