LET'S LIGHTEN UP A LITTLE: AL MVP
Who's the AL MVP as of today? Darkhorse defenses encouraged (Beltre, Konerko).

I'd go with a pretty main-stream pick and say Josh Hamilton. He's the best player on the first place team in his division and is having a monster year (again). Plus having Josh Hamilton in the lineup likely contributes to Vlad G. hitting again, well, that and the whole DH thing- so I'd argue he enhances the productivity of his lineup beyond his spot in the batting order. The other case I'd make would be for Miguel Cabrera, he's having another great year, but it's always a question of does the team have to be good for a player to be an MVP.
