If I were complaining about the Cards not winning, that would be a very valid argument.
My specific point of contention was that every St. Louis pitcher was failing to up and in on Fielder. As soon as you do that, you grant him power to all fields. God Bless the Wednesday night pitchers, Tony must have talked to them, for playing the game the way it was intended to be played. Win or lose play the game correctly.
BTW, Cards never got any help last year in their juggernaut regular season of 83 wins (The same number the Cubs happen to have now!)?
You're completely correct, that, if the Cubs can't take care of business, they don't deserve it. I have no problem with that. I just don't like to see any big league pitcher become a house pet.
