VALUE-FREE QUESTION: IF WE HAD UNIVERSAL HEALTH INSURANCE.......

.......Would Cook County Need a Public Hospital (Stroger)?

Given that Stroger Payroll is the biggest reason given for the proposed Euro-style tax increase in Cook County, this would be interesting information to have.

My God, this is disappointing.

I know I have some Chicago readers. This is a fairly critical point in places like Denver, Chicago, NYC, Baltimore and Cleveland. Perhaps somebody can address the cost-shifting from local infrastructure to private market.
